Try something old! Pressure Canning is the key to storing low-acid foods like meats, green beans, potatoes, corn, etc. Popular during the Great Depression, the government gifted pressure canners to each household to begin storing summer produce and meats—can you imagine?

TIME: 4/18, 10 AM - 12 PM
WHAT: Pressure Canning Know-How, Supply List, and Tips for Success. Local cubed beef from Sycamore Banks Farm in Mount Jackson, VA will be used in class. We will also cover how to can beef broth.
TAKE: Walk away with 1-2 quart jars of local cubed beef. Great for stews and soups!
PRICE: $55 per person for a 2-hour class, a quart of local beef, and digital lifetime resources for after class.

Just in time for Easter! Decorate with Earth’s finest. Grapevines are from ClemHott Vineyards and flowers are from Shady Hill in New Market, VA. Flower farmer Ashley, crafts the wreath from pruned vines.
Each wreath is unique. Pick between plain, simple, or flower filled. The dried floral option will have flowers focused mainly in one place on the cross, not all over.
*Plain wreaths can be hung outside. Dried floral wreaths are best for indoor decor, so they do not old or gain humidity.
*Hanging: nails or command hooks work. Tying a rope or string help to hang it on a hook, but is not required.
Are you searching for farm-fresh flowers to brighten up your day or to gift to someone special? Then Kathy's Flower Subscription is perfect for you! You will receive unique flower bouquets for six weeks throughout our blooming season. You can pick them up at our homestead or have them delivered locally on a Monday or Friday.
Flower season begins strong in June. To subscribe, add to your cart, then we will send you a PDF and email to share with the person you gifted it to. We will work out the details on dates once the season gets closer.
Each bouquet is priced at about $18, so you get six for $110. This is a better deal than our regular bouquet stand cost and a portion of these proceeds goes towards our “Flowers for Hope” program sending flowers to Hospice and Assisted Living.
Flowers for Hope
Volunteering at Senior Assisted Living Homes and having a family member in Hospice, I have seen firsthand the difference thoughtful moments have for our seniors and people at their lowest in health. When we have extra flowers, we donate them to Hospice or care facilities in our area. We want to make this a regular occurrence with our blooms, not just “extra" flowers. Your sponsorship will contribute to getting more flowers to those in Hospice or Assisted Living Care while supporting our floral business at-cost for these flowers. We will provide updates via email and social media on the donation status and how we are using the funds for the cost of our flowers and production. *Sponsorships are not tax-deductible
Make Memories w/ Bloom Bars
Our bouquet bar is a memorable experience and the life of the party (other than you, of course). We bring the flowers and set up for you and your guests to channel your inner florist.
